Large Format Wire EDM

In addition to PMi2’s more general Wire EDM capabilities, PMi2 can also offer Wire EDM machining of large parts with our Charmilles 640CC and extended tank Charmilles 440 Wire EDM machines.

With our large format wire EDM’s, PMi2 can process:

Workpiece overall dimensions up to 1300mm x 1000mm x 510mm.
Machining travels up to 800mm x 550mm x 510mm.
Submerged cutting depths up to 510mm deep.
“Bar” type workpieces with lengths up to 1500mm and full-length machining.
Workpiece weights up to 3000kg.
Uninterrupted and unattended EDM cycles of over 40 hours due to extra large wire spool handling capabilities.
